About me
My name is Bram van Gool and I'm a musician and music technologist from The Netherlands.
I started my musical jourrney playing guitar and bass in rock and funk bands and grew up with a wide array of different music.
I also grew up loving technology and games, later in live I discovered I could combine these two, and here we are.
I grew up with music ranging from Otis redding, Stevie wonder, and Queen to bands like The Red Hot Chilipepers and The Eagles.
When I started exploring music on my own I got into a lot of different genres.
Tyler the Creator showed me HipHop, Vulfpeck showed me Funk.
Pearl Jam showed me Grunge, Jinjer showed me Metal.
Chick Corea showed me Jazz, Intervals showed me Djent.
I haven't even gotten started but I will spare you my obsession.
I feel that all of these influences are now deeply rooted in the music I make and form a unique blend and have given me different musical building blocks to pick between.
Right now my musical obsessions are Prog, Djent, Japanese Jazz Fusion, Roots Rock, Folk and Nu Grunge.
After highschool I felt I wanted to persue music but wasn't at the right skill level yet, so I studies Software development first.
I am very glad that I did because it brought me a lot.
During that study I started experimenting with music production and composition.
That was also when HKU came across my path and I decided to persue Music & Technology as my next step.

Technical info
I'm very flexible on what technologies I work with and pick the right tools for each task.
I pick up on new technologies very quickly, so if you don't see your preferred tools listed, I have no problem adjusting.
The main technologies I work with include;
- Reaper, Ableton, ProTools
- Unity(C#), JavaScript (React, Next.js, VueJS), PHP(Laravel)
- FMOD
Fun fact, this website was developed by myself using PayloadCMS, a Next.JS Framework.
